If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you do it too??

Well, it seems that I have finally succumbed to the pressure to start a blog. It seems that everyone has one nowadays and I surely don't want to be the last one to join the crowd. Do people really care enough to read this sort of thing? Probably not, but I can use every distraction possible from writing my stupid dissertation.
